Nashville, TN, August 26, 2026 – Dr. Jacob Unger, board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Nashville Plastic Surgery Institute, has been awarded on Newsweek's list of America's Best Plastic Surgeons 2026. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on August 4th, 2026, and can be viewed on Newsweek's website.
Plastic surgeons were awarded in six cosmetic surgery procedures: Breast Augmentation, Liposuction, Facelift, Rhinoplasty, Tummy Tuck, and Eyelid Surgery. Dr. Unger was recognized across several of these procedure categories. The list is based on three data sources:

Reputation: Over 10,000 votes for plastic surgeons were collected and analyzed for each cosmetic surgery procedure from thousands of medical experts with knowledge of plastic surgery (doctor/surgeons, plastic surgery clinic manager and medical professionals)

Quality of Care: For In-State recommendations, participants were asked to assess the quality of care (e.g., consultation, complications, follow-up care, outcome) for each plastic surgeon.

Certification: Plastic surgeons received 5% towards their total score if they are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
