 Education & Training

Dr. Arowojolu earned her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University before completing both her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees at the New York University School of Medicine. She completed her six-year integrated Plastic Surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine, where she received comprehensive training in aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and complex reconstruction.

Her exceptional academic journey reflects a commitment to mastering both the science and artistry of plastic surgery. As a physician-scientist, she brings an evidence-based approach to every patient, combining rigorous scientific training with advanced surgical expertise.

 Areas of Expertise

Dr. Arowojolu specializes in aesthetic facial surgery, rhinoplasty, jaw surgery, facial trauma and oncologic reconstruction, pediatric and adult craniofacial surgery, cleft care, and ear reconstruction.

Advanced Craniofacial Fellowship

Following residency, Dr. Arowojolu completed an additional year of highly specialized fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, one of the nation's leading pediatric hospitals.

During fellowship, she cared for infants, children, and adults with complex craniofacial conditions including craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, facial trauma, microtia and other congenital facial differences. She trained alongside neurosurgeons, orthodontists, otolaryngologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care.

This advanced craniofacial fellowship further refined her expertise in facial anatomy and facial skeletal surgery principles, which directly enhance her approach to aesthetic facial surgery, rhinoplasty, and jaw surgery.

Dr. Arowojolu's passion for discovery is rooted in her training as a physician-scientist. She earned her PhD in Molecular Pharmacology at New York University School of Medicine, where her research focused on skin cell biology and the molecular mechanisms that regulate pigment cell survival and skin cellular stress responses.

She has authored peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national presentations spanning cleft and craniofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery, skin cell biology, and rhinoplasty. She remains committed to advancing plastic surgery through research, education, and innovation, ensuring her patients benefit from the latest evidence and evolving surgical techniques.
